Vidiyal Matriculation Higher Secondary School (VMHSS) with the name ‘Vidiyal’ begins its borne voyage in the ocean of academics with only 40 students in the year 2000. But, with the untiring attempts of our staff, constant support of parents and zealous performance of our students, this small beginning became big and touched the pinnacle of success.

I had an earnest desire to build up an institution where an education blended in all colours of human values could be given and today I feel proud to say that my lofty dream of a quality institution is taking shape through it.

Today VMHSS is one of the fastest growing schools because of the high standards it has set for itself in providing excellent education and living up to its school motto "Knowledge, Humility, Action".

Education, health and development be it in social, political, economic or spiritual angle, Dr.Devaraj has done it all. One of the great visionaries of our time who has spent 35 years of his life for making life of poor and the rural, better. He has laid foundation for many institutions which will stand the test of time and serve rural and urban population alike. A pioneer of Micro Finance in India, who established Organizations which are currently serving more than 20 lakhs poor families with over 5000 crores of loan disbursement.

As an explorer by disposition, he had travelled extensively to over 52 countries across the world to attend Seminars, conference and to conduct workshops. He had completed his degree in Social Development Studies at COADY International Institute, St. Francis Xavier University, CANADA. Thereby, with the key learning from the Global perspective, he started world class education system in India. In 1999, he had established a unit of Vidiyal Group of Educational Institutions, to provide quality Education at an affordable cost to bring enlightenment to the Valanadu Kaikatti region.

I have always believed that, "Excellence is never an accident; it's always the result of high intention, sincere efforts, intelligent direction and skilful execution." These words of wisdom best describe the present state of the VMHSS.

I give all my blessings to the VMHSS, to the staff, students, parents and all those associated with this Institution. I pray that Shri Brahma Jothi Andavar, in His divine benevolence, continues to lead and guide this prestigious Institution for generations to come.

Today the institutions run by the Vidiyal Group includes, Vidiyal Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Paripoorna Matriculation School, Sri Meenakshi Vidiyal Arts and Science College, Vidiyal Catering College and now paved a new path for the IIT-JEE / NEET aspirants across Trichy and other parts of Tamil Nadu through the Paripoorna Academy.

Many Institutions took up the responsibility to create a positive space for education and among that Vidiyal Group of Educational Institutions has the power to bring upon the idea of freedom and responsibility in order to make the students achieve greater heights.

Education is a shared commitment among motivated students dedicated teachers and enthusiastic parents with high expectations.

Warm welcome to the New Academic year 2022-23, which has begun with huge challenge after two years of pandemic “COVID-19”, this unprecedented crisis due to the pandemic has disrupted most of our work and daily activities. So, this too will pass.

Let me share the CORONA acronym. C (Care for each other) O (Opportunity to know your strength) R (Rest and relax) O (organize your thought and life) N (Navigate your way to achieve target) A (Accomplish success).

In the world of change, nothing is constant. But what remains unchanged for us is the fact that each member of the Vidiyal strives to achieve this change with precision and focus, by working on every student’s holistic development, in order to make them future ready global citizens.

In Vidiyal Matriculation Higher Secondary School along with the syllabus we teach our children, the moral and core values and 21 st century life skills which not only makes them a good human being but also the leaders of tomorrow.

Our VMHSS had looked to pioneers in e-learning where teachers had already found their ways to interact with their students.

At VMHSS we aim to provide a broad, well balanced and relevant curriculum. We encourage positive social behaviour, emphasizing respect for others. We believe that every child has the right to work in a calm, orderly, safe and secure environment. VMHSS provides a stimulating and enriched environment so that the children can enjoy all aspects of their learning.

We value regular contact with parents / guardians, and regard the home-school partnership as an essential part of the education process. We are always looking for new ways to involve parents in the life of the school and to keep them informed of the things we are doing.

It is our dream that students experience VMHSS as an invigorating and inspiring institution; that they become masters of various skills; that they love the process of learning throughout their lives.

We march our students towards greatness by following the doctrines of our beloved leader, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, transforming the Youth of Today to become Leaders of Tomorrow.

My association with VMHS School is grooming and I am full of hope, dreams and vision for the campus, its students and parents. We believe that it is important for a student to explore and find their strengths in order to reach their true potential. Whether a student has an introvert or extrovert personality, the aim is to nurture the student into a self-confident individual.

High standards and expectations for each student in an academic performance, co-curricular participation and responsible citizenship are the foundation of our school. It is with pride that we hold these high standards and ask each of our students to commit for maintaining the extraordinary record of achievement and contribution that has been the legacy of VMHS School students.

I conclude with a message for my students: “Whatever is done must be done with passion for only in that lies perfection. Never let fear or embarrassment keep you from participating in activities that interest you for it is only in school that you can actually discover your hidden talents and find the real you.”
